Halloween can be very traumatic for pets. Many escape out the door or become territorial when presented with the scary costumes and masks that we see as fun. It’s best to keep pets safely away from open doors and confined to another room or crate. Microchipping is always a great idea in case your pet does get loose.

Make sure candy and other treats are kept out of reach of pets. Upset stomachs causing vomiting and diarrhea are common after eating candy and particularly chocolate, which can cause excitation, seizures or worse.

Always contact your Veterinarian with questions and before administering any home remedies. Your pet will thank you for it.
